Announcing Receipt of Applications for Business for Gender Equality Awards 2020

The Millennium Foundation in partnership with UN Women and Business leaders Federation "Women for Tomorrow" is announcing 2020 competition "Business for Gender Equality". The competition will identify and award companies operating in Georgia that promote gender equality and women's empowerment within and outside the workplace.

The competition has been launched in 2016, in support of the Women's Empowerment Principles developed by UN Women and UN Global Compact. More than 150 companies have participated in the competition over the last four years. The competition will identify companies that successfully promote equality in the workplace, marketplace and community.

The previous year's winners are:

  • 2016 Winners - BP Georgia, Georgia Wine, TBC Bank, Livingstone
  • 2017 Winners - Geocell, Black Sea University, DIO
  • 2018 Winners - GPI Holding, Adjara, Professional Training Center
  • 2019 Winners - Energo Pro Georgia, Gepra, Leader

For participating in the competition please apply, fill out the application form, and send it to the following e-mail by May 31, 2020 18:00 (GMT+4): kchitashvili@millennium.org.ge

The competition will consist of two rounds. On the first phase, shortlisted candidates will be announced according to the submitted applications. On the second phase, the shortlisted candidates will meet with the competition committee to present their works and may be asked to provide further supporting evidence of their achievements.  Awards Ceremony will be held in fall-winter 2020.
